Your hiking domicile – the Campingpark Waldwiesen
Dear hiking friends,
since last year, there is now available the successful and several times awarded Saar-Hunsrück-Steig (Saar-Hunsrück-Hiking-Trail) situated in a beautiful landscape, very varied, culture-historically interesting and absolutely worth to hike along.
In addition there are also available some “dreamy” hiking trails which are real beauties and grant ample diversity in nature and also as far as culture-historical interest, as well the challenge to conquer the trails. The dreamy hiking trails have a length between 8 to 12 km and have been created for shorter hikes. Each day you can hike on another trail which is so designed to be able to reach your starting location always again.
It is simply fun and also a challenge, to observe and regard the area on foot. You can discover some things this way which otherwise remain hidden. To experience nature is something that can not be substituted by anything else. This is a fact.
The Campingpark Waldwiesen would like to be your holiday home during that time. We do have several rental objects which are at your disposal, whether rental caravans, a holiday house or a holiday apartment. For short weekend-stay, 2 to 3 nights, we are quite often able to supply you with a rental accommodation. From here you can easily reach all the surrounding hiking trails. Also you are welcome to bring your own caravan, Motor home or tent. Since we are not far from a small district capital which offers a large shopping center just 450 m away, you are able to supply yourself with all the necessary daily thinks. In addition Birkenfeld, a small residential town, offers a variety of 34 different restaurants, a selection which surprises some visitors.
Our recommendation: Please walk on foot. Enjoy the excellent food and the exquisite wines or beers and don’t fear for your driver’s license. Everything is of short distance.
